Szervita Square, Budapest

Here's an injection of "contemporary elegance" in Budapest's city center by Zaha Hadid. It will contain shops, offices, restaurants, and a nightclub. This drop of water on a fertile field of historical architecture seeps into the ground as circular windows become floor lights. This project has just started construction. The diagonal structural members can be seen through transparent skin, below circular window elements. It is also interesting that this is dropped in a communist-era constructed public site. It will certainly be refreshing to the city.
