Bolton Point House, Newcastle Australia

From architect student Jesse Lockhart-Krause via pushpullbar comes this house off Bolton Point on Lake Macquarie in Newcastle NSW. The site inspired two focus elements of design, water (sailboats and crashing waves) and the northern light (hitting an existing courtyard), which led to an entry corridor that divides the space into an active side for entertainment and a quiet meditative side.

The design is in the details, how this simple concept is carried out with formal organization and details. Apparently this project didn't get built, but it was a good idea from a young creative mind.
