Built in 1953, this is the Museu de Arte Moderna by Affonso Eduardo Reidy in Parc do Flamengo, Rio de Janeiro. Roberto Burle Marx was the landscape architect. The modern style building sits in the middle of gardens near downtown. The park is crucial for transitioning the horizontal concrete to the ocean and to the city. This Flamengo Embankment extends from Santos Dumont Airport all the way to Botafogo Cove.

The building contains over 11,000 art works. The film library is also extensive. After it was gutted by a fire in 1972, hundreds came to repair and enhance the project.
