The house in Tokyo was designed by Atelier Bow-Wow + Mikiko Terauchi, completed in 2004. While retaining key cultural icons, the house contorts to the unusual site, with levels turning and slipping back to receive adequate sun and urban permeation from the street space. It retains its own identity in a context of dense population, yet the cultural and natural connections are there. This residence can be described as "healthy."
