Carter Bridge, Cambridge UK

Brian Oldridge designed the Carter pedestrian Bridge across a railroad line in 1989. The £2 million project is sometimes criticized, but is generally beloved by the community.

The colorful siding to the pedestrian tube makes an exciting experience, but also makes some hot temperatures in the trapped air. The designer placed a greenhouse-like tube inside a typical bridge structure- a simple yet powerful design.
