The structure of Toyo Ito's 2002 temporary Summer Pavilion in London resulted from an algorithm of a spinning and expanding cube. The planes became either structure, translucent, or transparent glass.
The implied movement in the static structure reminds the viewer of origami, set upon an horizontal slab pedestal. The Battersea Power Station rises, as if a factory that produces this pristine object.
